Privacy Policy

Wurdoo is a small craft project. We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we must, and never sell it. This page explains exactly what happens to your information in plain language.

1. Who we are

Wurdoo (乌朵) sells handwoven objects made by artisan women in Yushu, Qinghai, China. For any question about your data, write to [email protected] — a real person answers.

2. What we collect

We only collect information you type into the order form:

• Name — to address the parcel and to write to you
• Email address — order confirmation, shipping notice, and any question about your piece
• Contact number — required by the carrier for international delivery
• Country, city, address, postal code — to ship the parcel and to complete customs declaration
• Order note — only if you leave us a message (gift wrap, delivery window, a question)

We do not collect or store your card number or any payment credential. Payment is handled entirely by PayPal; we receive only your name, shipping address, PayPal payer name and a transaction ID.

3. How we store it

• Email — your order is sent to our own mailbox so we can pack and ship it.
• Your browser — a copy of your order is saved in your own browser's local storage, on your own device, so you can see what you ordered. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
• Customs paperwork — name, address and order value appear on the commercial invoice required by Chinese export and destination-country customs. This is a legal requirement, not a choice.

We do not operate an advertising network, a data broker relationship, or any profiling of our customers.

4. Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to complete your order:

• PayPal — to take payment
• The postal service or carrier — to deliver the parcel
• Our email provider — to send you the order notice
• Customs authorities — where required by law

Nobody else. We never sell, rent, or trade your information.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage only: to remember your order while you check out, and to let PayPal run its payment button. We have no analytics or advertising trackers on this site. PayPal may set its own cookies when its payment window opens — those are governed by PayPal's own privacy policy.

6. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 24 months, because tax and customs authorities can ask to see them. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it — see section 7.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or anywhere with similar data protection law, you have the right to:

• see the personal data we hold about you
• have it corrected if it is wrong
• have it deleted ("right to be forgotten")
• ask us to restrict or stop using it
• object to our use of it
• receive a copy in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] with the subject line "DATA REQUEST". We reply within 30 days. There is no charge.

8. International transfer

We are based in China, so your information is processed there. PayPal and our email provider may process parts of it in the United States. By placing an order you understand that your details will cross borders for the sole purpose of making and delivering your piece.

9. Children

Our products are not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
